Local Peeps: I’m teaching a FREE blogging workshop Jan 14th at the Burnhaven library

I don’t talk about my old life as a teacher much but I used to be a pretty decent one (and I hope to be one again someday!) and I really miss being in the classroom. So I was super excited with the Dakota County library system asked me to teach a couple of blogging workshops for them. Yay – a captive audience for all my bad jokes! Er, I mean, yay for getting to do a hands-on tutorial of how to get started blogging.

The first event is Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Burnhaven library (2:00 – 3:30 p.m.) and will be focusing primarily on using blogging as a personal tool to journal, keep a travelogue or an online scrapbook. This class will be more about how to get started, the different blogging platforms and basic skills. For event details and to sign up to reserve your spot http://host6.evanced.info/melsa/dakota/eventsignup.asp?ID=10387

The second workshop is Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Burnhaven library. 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. and is geared for people who are interested in becoming mommy (or daddy!) bloggers and/or using their blog to make money. This one will be more focused on building a community, working with advertisers and sponsors, legal guidelines and the like.  For event details and to sign up to reserve your spot http://host6.evanced.info/melsa/dakota/eventsignup.asp?ID=10352

Even if you aren’t interested in either of the workshops I would love to meet any of you who happen to be around those weekends!

Squeeee! I’m so excited I’ll probably need Depends. But hey at least those won’t fall out the bottom of my pants…
