Do You Remember When Princess Di Got Married?

Do you remember when Princess Di got married? (You know back before the whole fairytale fell apart into the sordid mess of eating disorders, spousal abuse, extra-marital affair, divorce and untimely death – Disney would be rolling in his grave but I bet the Grimm brothers are pretty proud!) Whether you were old enough to stay up late enough to watch it without needing parental permission or not even a wave of nausea in your mommy’s tummy, Princess Di left a beautiful and lasting legacy for all the rest of us princesses-with-a-lower-case-p.

Check out my article on memories of Princess Di’s wedding on the front page of Shine!Yahoo. (And a special thanks to those of you who answered me on Twitter and FB – several of you are in there!)
Speaking of weddings, it’s hard enough to know what to say to your cousin’s wife’s niece – put “lovely” “beautiful” and “perfect” into a Mad Lib creator and you’ll be golden – but when the wedding is in another country things get even more complicated. Fortunately for us, the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is at least in a country where they speak our language. Sort of. Check out my post for Redbook about the 10 British Phrases You Need to Know for the Royal Wedding.
To make a great day even better – I got in 45 minutes of Power Vinyasa yoga this morning! – Fitness Magazine is featuring my book on their site today! They have some great ideas for Experiments of their own!
And the icing on my perma-grinned face (literally – it was my second son’s birthday party last night and I’m pretty sure I’ve still got a blue ring of frosting around my lips from enjoying his delish cake.) is this sweet and funny and awesome review of my book from the Fit-Bottomed Girls! If you’ve never read them before, definitely check them out. I’ve been reading their blog since they started and they are tons of fun! The best part is that I didn’t even know they were reading it, much less reviewing it and the happy surprise totally made my day.
Do remember Di’s wedding? Will you be watching Kate Middleton marry Prince William? Any of you have fun phrases from another language to share?
