How Many People Can YOU Cram Into a Kiddie Pool?

In celebration of Memorial Day, I’m partying with my peeps!

Coming up this week: a supercute giveaway! Pilates Experiment Results and June’s Great Fitness Experiment! One of the strangest weight-loss methods you’ve ever seen (and yet has helped one Gym Buddy lose 20 pounds)!

Don’t forget to enter my General Mills Giveaway for a free $25 gift card! It ends Tuesday.

Jelly Bean did not enjoy her first time swimming. Not one little bit. (But she did get her first tooth this week! You can baaaarely see it down there on the bottom. If you squint. And are good at imagining.)

Here’s one last little hint about something I’ve been working on for you guys (and no I’m not running away to join the circus – although some days that does sound nice!) And yes my bedroom really is this boring.

  1. Aww your family is so cute 🙂 and I love your new profile pic! and that last pic. you remind me of Audre Hepburn 😀

  2. Audrey. obviously. cough.

  3. My first thought was Tina Fey. 🙂

  5. Ooooohhhhh!!!!! I LOVE the family shot. What a beautiful family you have!!!! I love that last picture too! I love doing backbends! They make me feel so young even when I get stuck upside down. 🙂

  6. First, I LOVE your new profile photos. It's a little GaGa, a little Tina Fey and a lot of fun!

Second, I'm jealous of the backbends. Mainly because my back doesn't do anything right now except hurt me.

And I'm very interested in hearing the results of the Pilates experiment since I'm thinking about going in that direction.

    Have an awesome long weekend!

  7. Your boys are the split image of their dad! How cute!

  8. Ah!!! Beautiful wheel pose! I hope you're doing a yoga experiment 🙂 I'll do it with you for sure!!! And I'm happy to give some recommendations on DVDs, books, etc if you're interested (I'm a certified instructor, not just an enthusiast, so I might be able to lend some additional insight).

  9. Oh, how I wish I could still do those back bends! The last time I tried one, I ended up in a weeping heap.

    Love the family shot!
    Have a great Memorial Day.

  10. I love the pics!!!!!! Such a cute family!!!!!!!!!!! As for your last pic, in my younger days, I was great at gymnastics.. could do the backbends & walk overs & such…. I gave them up but I can still do splits!

Have a great day & looking forward to your week posts!

  11. Holy cow Charlotte! That back bend looks painful. And yes, I secretly wish I could do it.

Love the family photos and the new profile picture. 🙂

  12. wow! am so impressed! I wish i had your tenacity to stick at something (anything other than couchpotato-ing) until I could do something as awesome looking and difficult as your backbend. also, you look hot. it is amazing to me that you had a baby last year and several in preceding years. am so inspired. the human body is incredible. i should treasure mine more.

  13. Goodness you're flexible! Teach me teach me 😀

Hope you had a really super weekend.

  14. Is there a Cirque du Soleil workout?!?!?! Oh, right. Probably yoga. Well, a girl can dream. (Hubby ALMOST got an audition with CdS a couple of weeks ago, but he's 2 inches too tall! Only the second time in his career he's been told THAT, lol!)

Your family is GORGEOUS (like you)! And don't worry, my daughter HATED her first time in a pool, now she's a little fish, lol!

    I THINK I can see a tooth…

  15. Charlotte, it makes my heart sing to see all these photos out there for all to see- they are so terrific 🙂 Yay!

I love the family photo except there's one small omission- WHERE"S MOM!?

Jelly bean might be the cutest baby on the planet- and hurrah for that little tooth coming in. <3

    Much love to you.

  16. Hey I'll take Audrey OR Tina! Either one is a huge compliment!!

  17. You have a beautiful wheel pose! And you even kept your heel down like you are supposed to;)

  18. Yeah, I've fallen out of many a backbend into an inglorious heap on the floor on more than one occasion. Getting old sucks.

  19. I think PIlates would do EXCELLENT things for your back! Just be sure to find a good teacher.

  20. I'd love to do a Yoga Experiment – yoga is still hands-down my #1 fave way to exercise – but the Gym Buddies do NOT like yoga. So I do it on my own time. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to talk them into a month of wheel:)

  21. "A weeping heap". I'm giggling just at the rhyming!

  22. Oh well 🙂 Still, I think the yoga will help you with June's experiment. You already know how much meditating does for your anxiety, which might flare with the new eating rules. Maybe 1 a minute or two of breathing before you sit down to eat might put you in the right frame of mind….

  23. Love the fam photos, love the new pic (it's all Charlotte) and mostly, you made me sad that I don't own anymore unitards.

  24. Excellent suggestion.  I will do that!

  25. *lurv* the profile pic–you vintage mama, you!

    also,
you bring the class to leggings + black tee.

    hot.

    maybe with two "t's", even.

    *grin*
